[Xbox One/Series Scene] Xenia for UWP v1.1.2 released
Published a new update for Xenia for UWP , the experimental Xbox 360 console emulator for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles developed by developer SirMangler .
Waiting to see how the scene will evolve, as Microsoft has recently blocked the installation and execution of emulators in retail mode, at least until the solution studied by gamr13 will not be made public.
The update adds two new buttons, ‘Install Additional Content..’ and ‘Open File..’, as well as a new option cl
(command line). Fixes and improvements follow.
Installation
Developer Mode can be enabled on any definitive Xbox console, via the “Retail to Dev Kit” app available in the Xbox Store. After developer mode is enabled in the retail console, you can switch between retail mode and developer mode.

Changelog
- Added ‘Install Additional Content..’ button.
- Added an ‘Open File..’ button.
- Added option
cl
. - Improved the in-game keyboard dialog.
- Added a warning popup for when a user selects a folder with improper permissions.
- Updated to the latest version of Xenia Canary as of April 17 ( 1f86dc0 ).
Known issues
- If your game folder contains thousands of loose files, the frontend may appear to hang until they are processed.
Note from those upgrading from 1.0.1 and earlier
Previously we had an option called skip_frontend
which was set in true
to hide an experimental frontend window, if you are upgrading old configs may contain this setting and therefore it may hide the frontend.
However, this will have no effect if you don’t copy the old configurations.
