For those of you running the Mast1c0re hack on PS5, or on PS4 9.03-10.50, scene developer Markus95 has a new release for you, that will let you create an emulator ISO in 1 click. Marku954’s batch script lets you quickly generate a PS2-compatible ISO for a variety of emulators, relying on Retroarch PS2. Copy your roms in a specific folder, launch his script, select the emulator of your choice, and you’ll end up with an ISO file that you can easily load via the Mast1c0re exploit.

The script is as straightforward as it goes, and hopefully some of you will find it useful!

The script supports GameBoy/Gameboy Color, Nes, Snes, GameGear, Master System, Megadrive (Genesis), Atari 800, Lynx, WonderSwam and NeoGeo Pocket.

The developer also provides a video demonstrating how to use the script (Note that this specific video is for a similar script the developer released for Jailbroken PS4. That one generates PS4 pkg files instead of PS2 ISOs):

Download

You can download the script here.

As a reminder you will need to run the Mast1c0re hack on your PS4 or PS5 (compatible PS4 up to firmware 10.50 included, PS5 up to 6.50 included – higher firmwares on PS5 are theoretically possible but I’m not aware of compatible solutions yet)

How to use:

first run (setup)

Before you run the script for the first time, you’ll need to do a bit of configuration. This only needs to be done once:

  • run imgburn.exe from the tools/ folder
  • Choose Create image file from files/folders
  • Then the Advanced tab
  • Then the Restrictions tab
  • Choose Level 2 – 31 characters

  • Close imgburn
  • Done

General use

Once you’ve done the “first run” step above, you only need to do the following every time you want to create a new emu ISO:

  • Copy/paste your Roms in the Games/ folder
  • Click on the emulator of your choice in the script’s menu
  • Wait
  • Run the created iso via Mast1c0re [note from wololo: see our rough tutorial here]
  • Play
